The 86th annual conference of the Association of Asia-Pacific country code top-level domain management agencies (APTLD 86) will take place from September 17 - 20, 2024 in Da Nang city. Nang, Vietnam, brings together more than 150 experts from 50 APTLD member organizations.

Association of Asia-Pacific country code top-level domain management agencies (APTLD) was established in 1998, with the goal of creating a forum to exchange policies, experiences, management and operations. and exploit the country code top-level domain system.

Joining APTLD since 2001, VNNIC has made positive contributions and received high trust from the region, VNNIC representative is a member of the ATPLD Executive Board. VNNIC is the host unit (local host) for the second time organizing the ATPLD 86 Conference in Vietnam.

The APTLD 86 Conference unified the activities and plans of ATPLD to implement the "Internet for All" strategy, affirming the crucial role of country code top-level domain names (ccTLD) and domain name server system (DNS) for the Internet in the digital transformation stage; realizing cooperation commitments for the common goal of developing a safe, sustainable and reliable Internet.

The conference also focused on discussing opportunities and challenges for ccTLDs and DNS in the face of the development of new Internet technologies, such as handling DNS Abuse; the impact and application of AI in ccTLD management and development.

Within the framework of the conference, VNNIC implemented bilateral cooperation activities with international partners (International Organization for Assigned Names and Numbers - ICANN; signed a new bilateral cooperation agreement MoU with the Russian Federation Organization for Country Code Top-Level Domains - cc For .RU, as well as other regional and international organizations), enhancing efficiency, demonstrating the role and position of the national NIC in international cooperation activities.
